Hey Ya'll! 

 

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Raven Tukes and I'm originally from Jonesboro, Georgia. I am a recent graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, class of 2015 (woot woot!). At Holy Cross, I majored in Chinese Language and minored in Education Studies. I am currently a Fulbright Scholar in Kinmen, Taiwan, where I am teaching English at Jinning Elementary School (grades 2nd-6th). After my year of teaching is finished, I will return to the states to attend Harvard Graduate School of Education to pursue my Masters degree in International Education Policy. I am passionate about social justice programming, and peace education, particularly in post-conflict regions. I enjoy traveling, reading lifestyle blogs, spending hours on Pinterest and taking naps. I am terrified of butterflies and I hope to work as an international education consultant for ministries of education around the world. 

 

I'm totally new to blogging, but I get so many questions about life abroad that I've finally decided to make one. On this site, I've also included some short "podcasts" or audio blogs to document my journey. Please take a listen and let me know what you think! I'm super excited to launch my website, and I hope you all enjoy it as much I do.
